Virtual1 and ITS join forces to widen full fibre reach

Wholesale full fibre provider ITS Technology Group and network provider Virtual1 have announced a partnership that combines their network reach, making it even easier for channel partners to access and provide gigabit-capable connectivity services to UK businesses.

ITS designs, builds, and operates full fibre infrastructure known as ‘Faster Britain’ in the marketplace. Through its wholesale model, ITS has seen its partner community grow to more than 350 in the last year. Virtual1’s networks have now been added to ITS’ self-service search, quote, order portal and APIs, which delivers a one-stop-shop for partners to source on-net and off-net connectivity solutions for any business in the UK. Faster Britain’s own network is also on track to pass more than 500,000 /25% of UK business premises by the end of the year.

We’re partnering with ITS Technology Group to enable our customers to access a range of connectivity options that leverage ITS’ network. ITS currently operates across towns and cities which have high business premise concentration, all across Britain. This gives direct access to over 200,000+ more businesses. Working with partners such as ITS is driven by our commitment to the channel to ensure we maintain a commercially strong offering in an ever-increasing competitive market.

Daren has significant utility / telecoms sector experience and has held several board-level leadership and advisory positions for a number of organisations including Severn Trent Water and BT. He served on the Board of Openreach, where he held executive responsibilities as Director of the Customer Service Division, Director for Field Engineering then latterly serving as Managing Director of the Business Division.

Daren also regularly advises and collaborates with government and other regulatory / telecoms bodies on sector-related issues. His in-depth knowledge and understanding of the requirements of operators and high capacity data users, through his vast experience across the industry, mean that ITS is thriving under his leadership
