CEO’s Viewpoint March 2018
News
This is my first update since I became CEO. Over the last couple of months I have been getting my arms around the business, meeting many of our customers, and looking at our networks. It has been an opportunity to reflect on the direction and strategy of ITS. As a result, we are focusing on two very clear business models:
- Creating value from existing infrastructure to deliver pure full fibre connectivity in metro areas. This is a model we pioneered with Hammersmith & Fulham Council which is being adopted by other authorities across the UK (we already have agreements with Bristol, Nottingham, Herefordshire and Tameside).
- Delivering affordable connectivity to digitally underserved rural and semi-rural areas using hybrid technologies including fibre and wireless.
As we continue to grow our highly skilled team, we have demonstrable expertise which is reflected in the customer and network stories (I-HUB, Skylon Park Network) included in this newsletter.
And finally, with a number of recent industry announcements designed to make super and ultrafast connectivity more accessible, alternative providers like us will play a big role in delivering this.
