Making an impact with ITS

Social Value is the difference we make in society through our activity. At ITS, we strive to make a positive impact on the communities in which we operate, on the people we work with, and on the environment we live in.

Our Social Value strategy is something we’re incredibly passionate about, and lays out our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility. At ITS, this is made up of three key pillars:

ITS for the Planet

Prioritising digital inclusion, tackling inequalities and our environmental impact are all key when it comes to giving back to the communities we work in.

ITS Technology Group partners with InnovateHer to champion the next generation in Telecommunications.

Our Social Value Projects:

ITS People

We value our employees, and ensure this is reflected in our people policies and benefits. These include:

Working At ITS

ITS in the Community

The communities we work with and serve are the reason we can do the incredible work we do. We’re committed to giving back locally when we can, and to build up these communities in many different ways:

Access to full fibre broadband

Through our joint venture LCR Connect, we’re connecting selected Community Hubs in the Merseyside area, giving them access to a full fibre broadband connection, for free.

Employment Programmes

We support skills and employment programmes such as Learn to Work through St Helen’s Chamber as well as being a signatory of the Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter.

Partnering with charities

We’ve partnered with InnovateHer, a charity whose aim is to get girls and non-binary teens ready for the tech industry. We sponsor 3 schools and support them through careers events, inspiring assemblies and other initiatives.

Volunteering with Career Connect Give an Hour

We volunteer through the Career Connect Give an Hour scheme. This includes conducting mock interviews, attending careers fairs, facilitating ask the employer events and many more.

ITS for the Planet

We only have one planet, and it’s our responsibility to take care of it. ITS are passionate about reducing our environmental impact in any way we can, and implementing policies to protect the world around us.

We work with businesses, local authorities and partners to extend our Faster Britain network utilising existing infrastructure wherever possible
We’re committed to leading on reuse wherever possible
We’re working on our Carbon Plan for this year. This prioritises carbon reduction and positive action
