Farewell to the Faster Britain full fibre bus tour
ITS’s Faster Britain bus has reached its final destination, marking the end of a remarkable year-long journey for the wholesale B2B full fibre provider and its partners as it embarked on a roadshow to highlight the importance of gigabit-capable connectivity to businesses and communities across the UK.
Launched in January 2024 at ITS’s Daresbury office in Cheshire, and ending at Cheadle Sports Club in Stockport, the Faster Britain bus tour has brought the full fibre conversation to the doorsteps of businesses up and down the country.
Having covered more than 20,000 miles, the bus made 300 stops to facilitate meetings and training sessions on a route that has followed ITS’s nationwide full fibre network footprint which currently passes around 25% of the UK’s commercial premises.
The Faster Britain bus became a social media phenomenon as it was spotted travelling the length and breadth of the country and while it was parked up at 180 regional and industry events including UKREiiF, Connected Britain, and Connected North.
Daren Baythorpe, CEO of ITS, said: “The Faster Britain bus has provided a memorable environment for our partners and our team to discuss the strategic benefits of connectivity with a wide range of people including business owners, end-users, business leaders, local authorities, and politicians. It has succeeded in helping to foster meaningful discussions and build strong relationships that will help to drive future growth and innovation.”
