Tameside Businesses Feel Benefit of Full Fibre Revolution
ITS and local partner Network Connect held an event to inform businesses based in Tameside about the benefits of the full fibre network that’s on their doorstep which is driving a fibre revolution in the area.
The impressive speaker lineup included Carolyn Johnson, Project Director Local Full Fibre Networks from the Department of Culture, Media & Sport; and Tim Rainey Assistant Chief Executive of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. Their involvement helped businesses understand more about the network, how it can deliver value to them, and how they can get subsidised access through the government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.
“Connectivity shapes most aspects of our lives, and the demand for reliable, fast internet connections is growing quickly. Full fibre is a catalyst for local economies to grow and prosper, driving regeneration and inward investment.
“Having played a pivotal role in equipping Tameside with a full fibre network, we are working with our partner Network Connect to ensure local businesses can get access to the gold standard in connectivity.”
Lisa Harding, Business Development Manager at ITS
“There’s growing demand for a range of connectivity and broadband services over full fibre across Tameside. This is proven in the number of new and existing customers we have already connected to this network. Network Connect provides a whole range of voice and data services designed to help businesses reduce costs, enable growth, improve customer service and increase productivity.
“Access to high speed, reliable connectivity is fundamental to the delivery of these services. Our customers need to be able to rely on the services we provide and trust that they won’t let them down, allowing them to focus on doing business with their customers. Having a full fibre network in this area puts Tameside light years ahead of many locations in the UK, where access remains a postcode lottery.”
Ryan Heys, Sales Director, Network Connect
